Traffic Court

If a traffic citation has been issued for you to appear in court before the Walker County Traffic Court, you must appear on the court date and time shown on your citation. The court date on your citation IS NOT A TRIAL DATE. If you desire to plead NOT GUILTY and want a trial, you must request a separate trial date when you appear in court. If you wish to not appear in court and plead guilty to your citation, you may pay your ticket prior to the court date assigned on your citation.

It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to ensure payments are made in sufficient time to meet required deadlines. If a payment is not made prior to your assigned court date and you fail to appear in traffic court on your assigned date, your driver's license may be suspended by the Department of Public Safety, a warrant may be issued for your arrest, the fine may be increased, and any bond posted may be forfeited.
