Reckless Driving & DUI Pre-Trial Diversion
The District Attorney's Reckless Driving and DUI Pre-Trial Diversion (PTD) Program diverts certain first-time, nonviolent defendants from the traditional court system into a highly supervised and individualized restorative program. If you have received a citation for reckless driving or driving under the influence, you may qualify for the State of Alabama Pre-Trial Diversion Program. Defensive Driving
Defensive Driving school may be permitted at the judge's discretion. Those desiring to attend Defensive Driving school must appear in court on the date specified on their citation to request driving school from the judge. Those eligible for Defensive Driving school may have their case dismissed upon completion of a Defensive Driving course and payment of court costs.
